Adrian Cox-Settles

I am the Founder/Owner of Diverse Interactive Learning Tutoring Center (Math Does Matter LLC), a tutoring center that ranked among the top three tutoring businesses in Allentown, PA in 2024. With a specialization in Mathematics Education, I bring over 20 years of experience in teaching, coaching, leading departments, and tutoring. In 2014, I was honored as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year by the National Technical Association for my guidance that led my female Muslim high school students to victory in a math competition at Morgan State University. My students created history by achieving the top positions in this competition for the first time, marking a significant milestone for female students in math. I enjoy supporting people in reaching their full potential. For instance, a teacher whom I mentored and guided for a year went on to be named Teacher of the Year for Baltimore City Public Schools the next year. Renowned as a skilled test coach, I help individuals pass professional exams. Beyond teaching, I have excelled as a virtual learning coach and a homeschooling mother. In my personal life, I am a devoted wife of 21 years and proud mother of 3 exceptional sons, who have all skipped grades in either preschool or elementary school, marking a significant achievement in my teaching career.

Janaya Hunter

Hi, I’m Janaya Hunter, and I’m excited to be a part of this space where I can share encouragement and resources with families. My husband and I are blessed to have four wonderful kids, all six and under, and we’re honored to homeschool them. With a background in Social Work and Early Childhood Education, I’m passionate about supporting moms and families as a community-based doula and dance teacher in the Metro Detroit area.

Family is everything to me, and I love everything that brings people closer together. Starting my own family was truly the icing on the cake. Parenthood, though, came with its surprises! Right from the start, we had twins, and life as we knew it was completely turned upside down. But, through all the bumps and changes, we’ve found our rhythm.

Our cozy, screen-free homeschool journey has led us to create a space for families seeking more unplugged moments with their children. We hope to inspire and support others who are looking for a simpler, more connected way of life.

Parent Facilitator

Nichole Leatherwood

Balancing my roles as a wife, homeschooling mother, and youth minister, I'm driven by a desire to cultivate confident, accountable, and resilient youth. This passion has guided my journey from a 13-year career in corporate auto finance to fulfilling the role of Parent Facilitator.  The decision to leave the traditional workforce and homeschool our two youngest children wasn't merely a choice, but a calling. This conviction to homeschool sparked a vision that expanded beyond my own family, leading to the creation of a vibrant community for homeschool children and their parents. I firmly believe that the dedication required for homeschooling must outweigh any societal pressures or self-doubt. In my current roles as Parent Facilitator and Youth Minister, I am honored to partner with other parents in fostering both practical life skills and spiritual growth in their children.

Education has always been a passion for this military wife, mom, and educator. It always brings her joy to see students succeed and reach their academic goal.
